Terms of Service and Student Policies

Road Ready Driver Instruction LLC d/b/a Road Ready Safety

Last updated: September 3, 2026

These Terms of Service and Student Policies (the "Terms") apply to everyone who uses www.roadreadysafety.com and to every student who enrolls in a course provided by Road Ready Driver Instruction LLC, doing business as Road Ready Safety ("Road Ready Safety," "we," "us," or "our"). They are the same on every page of our site, in every state. Where a state's law or a course's approval conditions require something more specific, that provision appears in Part 3 and controls for that course.

By using the site or enrolling in a course, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Part 1. Website Terms of Use

1.1 Service and providers

We provide online driver safety, driver improvement and driver education courses that we operate ourselves under approval from the relevant state agency. We also list courses provided by third-party partners. When you enroll in a partner course, you complete checkout on the partner's secure site and the partner's terms and privacy policy apply to that course. Each course page states who provides the course.

1.2 Eligibility and compliance

You are responsible for selecting the correct course for your situation and for following any instructions from your court, motor vehicle agency or insurer. We describe on each course page what a course does and does not do under that state's rules. A course does not change a conviction, and it does not entitle anyone to a driver license, a point credit, a dismissal or a discount that the state, a court or an insurer has not granted.

1.3 Certificates and reporting

On satisfactory completion you receive a certificate of completion. Each course page and your completion email explain whether we report your completion to the state and what, if anything, you must submit yourself. Where the state requires you to deliver the certificate, you are responsible for doing so before your deadline.

1.4 Payments and refunds

Prices are shown on the course page and at checkout. The price you see is the total; we do not add certificate, processing or delivery fees at checkout. Refunds are governed by the refund policy linked from the course page and summarized in Part 2.3.

1.5 Prohibited use

Do not misuse the site, attempt to interfere with its operation, share account credentials, or let anyone else complete any part of a course on your behalf.

1.6 Disclaimers and liability

The site and courses are provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and limit liability for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the consumer-protection or education laws of your state.

1.7 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your state of residence, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

1.8 Contact

Part 2. Student Policies for Road Ready Safety courses

These policies apply to every course that Road Ready Safety itself provides.

2.1 Security and privacy of student information

We collect only the information reasonably necessary to enroll you, deliver the course, verify your identity, issue your certificate, comply with the approving state's rules and keep the records those rules require. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted transmission of sensitive data, role-based access, reputable third-party payment processors (we do not store full card numbers) and monitored, backed-up systems. We do not sell or rent student information. We disclose it only to the state agency that approved the course, to law enforcement or a court when the law requires it, to service providers bound to protect it, or with your written consent. Our full Privacy Policy describes this in detail and applies in every state.

2.2 Student identity verification

Our courses are approved on the condition that the person who enrolls is the person who completes the course and receives the certificate.

  • At enrollment you provide your full legal name, date of birth, driver license number and issuing state, email address and mailing address, and you affirm that this information is true and that you alone will complete the course.
  • At every login you use your registered email and password and then enter a time-sensitive code sent to your registered email.
  • During the course all activity is tied to your authenticated account. Course timers, progression controls and completion tracking follow that identity.
  • Where the approving state requires it, the course also presents identity questions at set intervals or before the final exam. The course page for that state describes the schedule and what happens if a question is answered incorrectly.

If we determine in our reasonable judgment that identity verification has failed or that someone other than the enrolled student is participating, we may suspend or terminate access, record a failing status and decline to issue a certificate. Re-enrollment after an identity-related termination is a new registration at full price.

2.3 Refund and withdrawal

Our refund policy is the same everywhere we can make it so: you may withdraw and receive a full refund at any time before you complete the course. "Complete" means passing the final exam or being issued a certificate, whichever comes first. Once the course is completed no refund is available, because the certificate has been earned and, where the state requires it, reported. Where a state's law sets a different or more generous rule (for example Texas, see Part 3.1), that rule controls. Refund requests go to refunds@roadreadysafety.com from the email on your account or through the student portal, and refunds are returned to the original payment method. The full policy for each course is linked from that course's page.

2.4 Satisfactory completion and certificates

You have completed a course when you have finished every required module and activity, met the course's time requirement, passed every required assessment, satisfied identity verification and paid in full. Only then do we issue a certificate. We will not issue a certificate to a student who has not met every requirement, and you should not accept one under those circumstances.

2.5 Course completion deadline

Each course page states how long you have to finish once you start, which is set by the approving state where the state sets one. If you do not finish within that period the state may require you to begin the course again, and your enrollment may be closed with a non-complete status. Any refund is handled under Part 2.3.

2.6 Complaints and grievances

Informal. Contact support first at info@roadreadysafety.com or (888) 885-5707. Most concerns are resolved there.

Formal. If a concern is not resolved informally, send a written grievance with your name and contact details, the dates involved, a description of the issue, the steps already taken and the outcome you are seeking. We acknowledge every grievance, a designated representative investigates it, and we respond in writing, typically within fourteen (14) business days.

Escalation. If you are not satisfied with the written response you may ask that it be escalated to a director or owner of Road Ready Safety, who will issue a final written determination.

External complaint. You may contact the state agency that approved your course at any time, before or after using our process. Agency contact details for each course are in Part 3.

Non-retaliation. We will not take adverse action against any student for filing a grievance or complaint in good faith.

2.7 Records retention and access

We keep enrollment agreements, payment records, course-activity records (access, module completion, assessment results, final status), certificates, refund and grievance records, identity-verification and security logs, and the advertising and enrollment materials used to solicit students. Academic records are kept permanently. Other student records are kept for at least three (3) years from your last activity, withdrawal or completion, or longer where the approving state requires it. Records are stored electronically, backed up regularly, and kept in secure data centers in the United States. You may request copies of your own records, proof of completion or a duplicate certificate through support; we may charge a reasonable fee for duplicates as described in Part 2.9. We make records available to the approving state agency on lawful request.

2.8 Student support

Support covers technical issues (login, navigation, device compatibility), questions about course content, guidance on pacing and deadlines, and accommodation requests. Support is available by email and phone during the hours posted on the course's Help Center page. We aim to respond to technical issues within one business day and content questions within two business days. You are responsible for reading the orientation materials, attempting assessments in good faith and contacting support promptly when you have a problem.

2.9 Duplicate certificates

If your original certificate was not received, was unusable or contained an error that was not your fault, we issue one duplicate at no charge if you ask within thirty (30) days of issue. Otherwise we may charge a processing fee, currently ten dollars ($10.00). Duplicates are issued only after we confirm your identity and completion status.

2.10 Fees

The price on the course page is the total price. Any fee that is not refundable once a service has been rendered is identified as such at checkout before you pay. If a non-refundable service has not been provided, its fee is refunded.

2.11 ADA and accessibility

We provide reasonable accommodations to qualified students with disabilities. Tell us as early as possible, ideally at enrollment, what accommodation you need; we review each request individually and may ask for documentation. Accommodations may include extended time, alternative formats or navigation assistance, provided they do not compromise course integrity or identity verification. Our full Accessibility Policy is linked from every course page.

2.12 Enrollment contract and acknowledgment

Your acceptance of these Terms at checkout, together with the course-specific disclosures shown before payment, is your enrollment contract with Road Ready Driver Instruction LLC d/b/a Road Ready Safety. It identifies you, identifies us by legal name and by the approval or license number the state assigned to the course, names the course, states the total charge and the time allowed for completion, and records your acknowledgment of this document and the Privacy Policy. A copy is provided electronically at enrollment and kept in your student record. Courses are delivered entirely online; no classroom attendance and no behind-the-wheel instruction is provided or required unless the course page says otherwise.

Part 3. State-specific provisions

3.1 Texas driving safety course (TDLR)

  • Provider. Road Ready Driver Instruction LLC d/b/a Road Ready Safety is licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation as a driving safety course provider. The provider name and license number appear on the Texas course pages, the enrollment contract and the certificate.
  • Cancellation and refunds (Texas Education Code §1001.401 and §1001.402). You may cancel for a full refund before midnight of the third calendar day after signing the enrollment contract, excluding weekends and legal holidays, even if you have accessed the course, unless you have completed the course or failed its quizzes within that period. After the third day, a student who withdraws before completing all instructional hours receives a refund of the unused portion of tuition for the hours not provided; we may retain not more than $50 as an administrative expense. If we discontinue the course or a material failure on our part prevents completion, everything you paid is refundable (§1001.403). Refunds are paid within thirty (30) days of the effective date of withdrawal. The standard administrative fee, currently $3.00, is non-refundable once registration is complete. Full text: the Texas refund policy.
  • Completion deadline. All course requirements must be completed within ninety (90) days of registration unless a court sets a shorter deadline. The course consists of 300 minutes of instruction plus required breaks.
  • Complaints. Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Driver Education and Safety, P.O. Box 12157, Austin, Texas 78711; fax (512) 463-9468; online at tdlr.texas.gov/help; telephone 800-803-9202 or (512) 463-6599. This information also appears on the certificate of completion. You are not required to use our grievance process before contacting TDLR.
  • Records. Records for students who completed within the previous twelve months are accessible at our primary place of business; older records are retrievable from secure storage on request. Instructor and staff qualification records are kept for at least five (5) years.

3.2 Ohio adult remedial driving course (Ohio Department of Public Safety)

  • Provider. The Ohio course is offered by Road Ready Driver Instruction LLC d/b/a Road Ready Safety under Ohio Revised Code 4510.037 and 4510.038 and Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 4501-21. Its approval status and, once issued, its enterprise number appear on the Ohio course pages.
  • Completion window. Ohio requires every student to finish the complete eight hours of training within thirty (30) days of the date and time the student first starts the course content. After thirty days the student must begin the course again (OAC 4501-21-14).
  • Final examination. Forty questions, drawn from a state-required question bank, passed at 75 percent. A student who fails may retake the examination once, no sooner than 24 hours later. A student who fails twice must retake the course (OAC 4501-21-13(C)(8)).
  • Identity validation. In addition to Part 2.2, the Ohio course presents an identity question after every two hours of credited instruction and before the final examination. An incorrect answer allows one more attempt; a second incorrect answer locks the course for 24 hours.
  • Instruction time. Ohio credits only measured instruction time. Break time is recorded and does not count toward the eight hours.
  • What the course does. Completing the course may support a two-point credit for a driver with at least two but fewer than twelve points (once every three years, five times in a lifetime), and it is one of the reinstatement requirements after a twelve-point suspension. Completion does not remove points from a driving record. A course taken under a court order does not earn a credit.
  • Complaints. Ohio Department of Public Safety, Driver Training Program Office, 1970 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43223; drivertraining@dps.ohio.gov; (614) 466-3524.

3.3 North Dakota defensive driving course (NDDOT)

  • What the course does. An approved course may support a three-point reduction once every twelve months, capped at nine points in any three-year period, and may be elected at court in lieu of points for violations carrying five points or fewer (NDCC 39-06.1-13 and 39-06.1-10.1).
  • Reporting. The student delivers the certificate of completion to the North Dakota Department of Transportation, Driver License Division (drs@nd.gov). A course elected in lieu of points must be reported within thirty (30) days of the election.
  • Complaints. North Dakota Department of Transportation, Driver License Division, 608 East Boulevard Avenue, Bismarck, ND 58505-0700; (701) 328-2600.

3.4 Idaho defensive driving course (Idaho Transportation Department)

  • What the course does. Completion of an approved course may remove three points from an Idaho driving record once every three years (IDAPA 39.02.71). Any citation must be paid before the reduction applies. Drivers 55 and older may qualify for an insurance discount at the insurer's discretion.
  • Reporting. The student submits the certificate to the Idaho Transportation Department, DMV, PO Box 7129, Boise, ID 83707-1129, or ddc@itd.idaho.gov.
  • Complaints. Idaho Transportation Department, Driver Services; (208) 334-8735.

3.5 Missouri Driver Improvement Program (Missouri Safety Center)

  • What the course does. When a court or the Fine Collection Center authorizes a driver to complete an approved Driver Improvement Program, the points for that violation are not assessed. The course must be completed within sixty (60) days of the plea or conviction and may be used for this purpose once in any thirty-six (36) month period (RSMo 302.302). The court decides whether to authorize the program.
  • Reporting. The completion form is sent to the Missouri Department of Revenue, Driver License Bureau, PO Box 200, Jefferson City, MO 65105-0200, by the student or by us where the court permits, and to the court if instructed.
  • Complaints. Missouri Safety Center, University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, MO 64093; (660) 543-4830.
