DSC Court Fees
⚠ Payment by cash, debit/credit card, money order, or cashier's check — no personal checks. Mail requests must include payment by money order or cashier's check.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •'Court copy' of the uniform certificate of course completion
- •Valid Texas driver's license (uploaded with request)
- •Current proof of insurance with your name listed on the policy (uploaded with request)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certified copy of your Texas driving record (Type 3A form, all pages)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before your appearance date (mail requests must be postmarked by that date)
- •Completion window: 90 days to complete the course and submit documents to the court.
- •Website has migrated: old ci.taylor.tx.us address is obsolete; current official site is taylortx.gov
- •Eligibility: valid TX driver's license, not a commercial license holder at time of stop, valid insurance listing you as a driver, no DSC completed in the prior 12 months
- •Ineligible offenses include: leaving the scene of an accident, passing a school bus, speeding in an active construction zone (workers present), 25+ mph over the limit, or driving 95 mph or more
- •Verbatim consequence: 'If you do not take the course within the 90 days you will be convicted and you will be responsible for the $100 fine plus any additional fees.'
