DSC Court Fees
⚠ Payment by money order or cashier's check only; court instructs defendants NOT to pay online when requesting DSC.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed plea/reply form (included with citation) requesting DSC
- •Proof of liability insurance
- •Copy of valid Texas driver's license
- •Court cost payment ($144 standard / $169 school zone) by money order or cashier's check
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •certificate of completion, certified copy of driving record, and notarized affidavit presented within 90 days
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Submit the reply form within 10 working days of the offense
- •Completion window: 90 days from being granted DSC to present certificate of completion, certified driving record, and notarized affidavit.
- •Do NOT complete the course until the court has granted permission.
- •Do NOT pay online when requesting DSC or deferred disposition — request must be made in writing or in person.
- •Not eligible if cited for 25+ mph over the speed limit, if a DSC was completed in the prior 12 months, or if you hold a CDL.
- •Violations occurring in a construction zone while workers are present are not eligible for DSC or deferred disposition.
