Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Request must be made by the court appearance date listed on your citation (typically a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). Phone calls do not count as an official appearance.
- •Completion window: Not stated on court site; standard Texas window is 90 days — confirm with court.
- •Do NOT qualify for DSC if: taken a driver's safety course in the last 12 months; currently enrolled in a course for another ticket; hold a CDL; cited for speeding 25+ mph over the limit; passing a school bus while loading/unloading; speeding in a work zone with workers present; or No Insurance (Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility).
