To Request Approval — Submit These

  • Copy of valid Texas driver's license (non-CDL) — submitted with the request
  • Copy of current proof of financial responsibility (insurance card) — submitted with the request

After Completing the Course — Submit These

  • Signed court copy of TDLR-approved Driving Safety Course Certificate of Completion (issued to Sherman Municipal Court)
  • Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS, dated after your approval date

Important Deadlines & Local Rules

  • Request deadline: Court approval must be obtained before starting the course; request on or before your appearance/due date (page does not state an explicit request deadline)
  • Completion window: 90 days from the date of court approval to complete the course and submit the certificate and Type 3A driving record.
