Standard Texas DSC fee is typically $144 for moving violations and $169 for school zone violations, but varies by court.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Written plea of no contest or guilty
- •Copy of valid Texas driver's license
- •Copy of proof of vehicle liability insurance in your name
- •Payment of state fee and costs
After Completing the Course — Submit These

- •certified copy of driving record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Must contact the Court in person or by mail by the due date on your citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from approval to complete the course AND obtain a certified copy of your driving record; both must be turned in within the 90 days.
- •Address change from seed: court is at 1111 Bayou Rd. (not 431 Bayou Rd.), La Marque, TX 77568; website migrated to cityoflamarque.gov.
- •Court fax: (409) 935-0401.
- •CDL holders are NOT eligible regardless of whether the violation occurred in a commercial or personal vehicle.
- •Ineligible if cited for: speeding 95 mph or more, or 25+ mph over the limit; leaving the scene; passing a school bus; construction-zone offense with workers present.
