DSC Court Fees
This court does not publish its DSC fee schedule online. Call (915) 212-0215 to confirm the exact amount before submitting payment.
Standard Texas DSC fee is typically $144 for moving violations and $169 for school zone violations, but varies by court.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Check or money order for court costs and administrative fees (for initial DSC request)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Copy of Texas Type 3A Certified Driving Record from the Texas Department of Public Safety
- •Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Court Copy Certificate of Completion
- •Copy of your car insurance
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •You have 90 days from court approval/order date to complete the course and submit all documents.
- •El Paso Municipal Court does NOT endorse any specific DSC schools. If you receive a call or text claiming the court ordered you to complete a course, contact the court directly at (915) 212-0215.
- •Juveniles (under 17) MUST appear in person before the judge with a parent or guardian — mail and online request methods are NOT available to them.
- •If DSC documentation is not submitted within 90 days, the court will issue a notice to return to court. Failure to appear may result in an arrest warrant.
- •If you were granted DSC but no longer wish to complete it, you must fill out the Decline Form and pay your fine at a court location.
- •DSC is NOT available for: speeding 25+ mph over the limit, construction zone violations with workers present, passing a stopped school bus, fleeing or eluding police, reckless driving, passing an emergency vehicle, failure to give information at an accident scene or render aid, leaving the scene of an accident, CDL holders, or if you have taken DSC for another ticket within the last 12 months.
