DSC Court Fees
⚠ Per the court's DSC Information Form: 'Payment in the amount of $144.00, or $169.00 if violation occurred in a school zone.' You can pay only after forms are submitted and the court updates your case. Only the exact amount is accepted; personal checks are not permitted. (Fee confirmed against the court's DSC Information Form; verify the current amount with the court before paying.)
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Payment of $144.00 ($169.00 if school zone) — payable only after forms are submitted and case is updated
- •Notarized plea form (located on the back/bottom of the court's form)
- •Copy of current insurance
- •Copy of valid Texas Driver's License (military: current Driver's License plus Military ID)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •signed 'COURT COPY' of completion certificate
- •certified copy of Type 3A driving record from DPS — 'Your citation will not be dismissed without a certified copy of your driving record.'
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: All required information must be submitted (in-person, email, mail or fax) by the appearance date indicated on the ticket
- •Completion window: 90 days from plea date to complete a state-certified driving safety course.

- •Plea form must be NOTARIZED — uncommon requirement worth highlighting.
