DSC Court Fees
⚠ Pay by check or money order with mailed requests, or at the clerk's window in person; approved online requests receive a text message with a payment link. Fees can change — call (214) 509-4380 to confirm.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed and signed Driving Safety Course Request Form
- •Copy of your valid Texas driver's license
- •Copy of proof of insurance
- •Payment of the DSC fee ($144, or $169 for a school zone violation)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (after course)
- •Type 3A Certified Driving Record
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Make your request on or before your first appearance date, or within 20 working days from the date of your citation
- •You have Confirm with court upon approval to complete the course and submit all documents.
- •Court reviews each DSC request for eligibility before approval
- •Online DSC requests: complete the online contact form at the court's portal and attach required documents
- •Portal also handles Deferred Disposition (Probation) — confirm you are selecting DSC, not deferred disposition
- •3.95% card processing fee (minimum $2.50) added to all online transactions by city ordinance
