How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid Texas driver's license
- •Proof of insurance
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Uniform Certificate of Completion (Court Copy) after finishing the course
- •Certified Type 3A driving record from Texas DPS ($10.00)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before your appearance date — failure to request by then forfeits the right to take the course
- •Completion window: 90 days to submit the Uniform Certificate of Completion (Court Copy) and DPS driving record.
- •This is Alamo Heights Municipal Court in Bexar County (Broadway corridor) — not Alamo Municipal Court in Hidalgo County.

- •Requesting DSC requires waiving the right to trial and entering a plea of guilty or no contest.
- •Not eligible if you have taken a DSC in the 12 months preceding the offense, for speeding 25+ mph over the limit, passing a stopped school bus, CDL holders, or construction-zone violations with workers present.
